Quality Inspector (Former Employee) says

"I learned a lot at this job. But the work environment was terrible. Managers would get fired randomly and replaced with new ones. People there for the most part were ok but it felt like a sweat shop. They work you 12 hours a day 6 days a week so say goodbye to your personal life. Free breakfastHorrible parking, poor work environment, disgusting restrooms"

Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Former Employee) says

"Work-life balanceSucksPay & benefitsRun awayJob security and advancementRacismManagementRacismCultureSucksOverallIf your white your all right! Racism, bigotry and if you don’t fit in they will run you off. The gang that works in charge of the electrical installation is rascist!"

PROJECT COORDINATOR (Former Employee) says

"If you want to work for a company that will never value you, this is not it. If you are ready to be just a number to a company, go ahead. If you like having no direction and having no reliable upper management for assistance, this is your place. If you like lying to customers and covering up lies for your company, go for it. This company hires to fire, they perform mass lay offs and you are NEVER safe. There is absolutely no room for growth. health benefitsEverything but the health benefits"

Production Associate (Former Employee) says

"I had been worked as a production Associate and the day when i started working i felt i became slave of this freaking Company and pay rates / compensation is really low which noone can’t even survive to live nearby Company in the Bay Area Fremont Factory and more than enough presure from every aspect on employees within Zero work environment managementZero work environment managementZero respect and slavery behavior"

Senior Crew Lead, Electrical Installer (Former Employee) says

"Good place to learn and move on to real money. Once hired you are just another number making their numbers look good with no compensation or even a hat to say good job. Was way better before when it was only solarcity and not public."

Senior Tool and Diemaker Plastic (Former Employee) says

"I worked at Tesla as a Tool Maker. The place is a joke and they have no equipment to fix anything properly. My boss is an inexperienced micro-manager. We started out with 8 people in our department and because of our manager we are now down to 3 people. DO NOT apply to work at Tesla. It is a toxic, hostile work place in which managers become empire builders. Tesla is truly one of the worst places I have ever worked.Health Careeverything"

Install Scheduler (Former Employee) says

"this company needs to get their s*** together It was the worst place to work, management sucked. They are young and have no clue about customer service"

Stocking (Former Employee) says

"Dont work here its a complete waste of your time and life . Work life is 6 days a week and I worked here for over a year to just get fired after being late for the first tiem “which was literally 5mins”"

Production Associate (Current Employee) says

"Management is out of control and pick favorites. 2mins late = -2 hours pto. Your only bonuses are rare and distributed over a year as a means of trapping you. Your initial stock bonus is only fully available after 4 years of work. It’s 12 hours of standing in unbearable heat at times. One 30 min lunch minus walking time to get to a break room in one of the biggest factories in the world, makes it more of a 20 min lunch. It’s normal to find people crying in the restroom. Very high turnover. Do not work here if you have another option."

partsadvisor (Former Employee) says

"rare inwerk systeem. niks geleerd rare management, afstandelijk Amerikaans bedrijfscultuur, rare inwerk systeemfietsvergoedingafstandelijk bedrijf"

Solar Energy Consultant (Former Employee) says

"division has since closed and all of the employees like myself were let go with NO options to reline within the company. I would not recommend this company"

Product Associate (Former Employee) says

"Tesla is not a fun place to work, it has great benefits just like any other multi billion dollar company, they force you to give up your rights. you cant take vacation due to politics involved, you work 15 hrs 6 days a week with only one 30 min lunch.free cafine productsno free lunch or dinner, no disconts on tesla cars, lots of health risks"

Operations Advisor (Current Employee) says

"This company does not care about anything except selling cars. Currently making their front line workers continue to sell cars during coronavirus. They do not care about the lives of their employees, they tried to implement safety procedures two weeks after our boss called this "dumb" on a tweet. Our boss bought loopholes in the state of California to allow dealerships to be open. Regional managers haven't been coming in but they expect all of us come to work or we're required to use our PTO which we work hard for. Bottom line this place doesn't care about you. They will work you until you burnout and then find someone else to do the job. Find another place to work."

Inside Energy Advisor (Former Employee) says

"Lie to customers to make a sale, not a good way to do business. Very unorganized and always making changes to Elon's executive staff. No transparency from the top down."

Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says

"This job isn’t for everyone and if not contracting with Tesla directly there are no employee protections available. Employees drive customers cars with high risk of accident and travel issues."

Solar Energy Consultant (Former Employee) says

"It was pyramid marketing no full commission no salary door to door sales. The manager would steal employees leads and complete sale which would leave workers with no salary."

Machine Operator/Assembler (Former Employee) says

"This job was one of the worst jobs I've ever had. We got lost in the massive amount of employees being herded around like numbers. None of the superiors ever even looked at you much less smiled. It was too competitive for the pay rate and most of the hire-ons were disrespectful, seedy and creepy."

Installer/Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"No career advancements, management is very poor and never credits your work. Unintelligent. Take advantage and haze new employees. Pay is poor for the amount one person can do. Cut me right before I was about to receive my raise.Worked three years and never received a pay raise even after surviving over thousands of employees cut.Don’t value employees, poor pay, no career advancement, Management unknowledgeable"

Production Associate (Current Employee) says

"they don't want to work with people over 55 worked there for 3 months they put me on the most labor intense line in the whole factory . When I spoke of it to my supervisor he said if you cant keep up with the people half your age you know where the door is ."

Production Associate (II) says

"Extremely hectic and fast paced environment where every individual is out for themselves. There is no job security as I have seen old and new employees outed and lied too about their job and their current status. All management is on a different page with the only care in the world being the numbers they can output. Company does not give any care at all to the employees and works them with an over abundance of physical labor in a supposedly "autonomous" facility. Lots of extremely toxic chemicals/processes that Tesla doesn't provide adequate tools for. Tesla's main goal is to deceive the public and push out bad product. Do NOT trust this quality. The Gigafactory is a MESS of a production facility... please don't bother applying if you respect yourself at all."
